Magazine doesn't have anything to lose anyway. It's not like KanoKari is their flagship series like Tokyo Revengers that they should be worry about maintaining popularity

Overseas negative reception to Kanokari doesn't mean much, it gets criticized every week for a long time already on forums and Twitter, but in Japan it keeps selling well and the recent volumes still have good reviews in general on Amazon and such. I think this shows the difference between how fans in Japan and in the west see romcom manga, a lot of stuff criticized overseas such as love triangles, misunderstandings, loser main characters, tsundere are popular tropes of the genre in Japan since series like Urusei Yatsura exploded in popularity decades ago.

Doesn't mean the series is immune to criticism, I'm sure it has many anti on otaku sites, but we'll only know if the more casual buyers are negative towards it when we get newer volume sales or if uproar online on Twitter is too big.

With this, I think it entered the top 5 best selling WS Magazine manga ever (It's basically tied with other 2 manga). If I am missing a manga let me know?

Tokyo Revengers 50'000,000
Shoot 50'000,000
GTO 50'000,000
Fairy Tail 72'000,000
Kindaichi 90'000,000
Ippo 100'000,000

What is more surprising is that TR did it with far less volumes, it has outsold all manga in per volume sales -I know these are circulation numbers, but still it's obvious it has outsold them in per volume sales-(Except maybe... maybe for GTO, Idk if GTO is counting everything GTO related like Shonan and spin-offs, but if it isn't GTO and TR are pretty much equal since both had 50'000,000 with 25 volumes).

It is also on track to become the best selling Furyo manga ever, BadBoys has it beaten with 55'000,000 and Rokudenashi BLUES with 60'000,000, but I think Tokyo Revengers will end up beating them, since it is still running AND these series have had years of selling backlog, which TR doesn't have.

Anyway, it's amazing how after Kimetsu manga sales broke all kinds of records, hopefully the Kimetsu generation continue to read all kinds of manga and don't just focus on ultra popular manga in years to come.

You are missing Devilman and Fisherman Sanpei, which are both at 50 million as well. Also, Wikipedia lists 96 million for Ippo and 100 million for Kindaichi.

I am extremely sure the devilman sales are inaccurate. Also shoot is around 60 million at this point.
