Just to let folks know, I sent the following message to Viz, via the feedback link on the website where I am subscribed to WSJ digital magazine:
Rumors are all over the Internet that Bleach is confirmed to be ending in 5 or 6 chapters. Can you confirm whether or not this is true? Many people are also saying that Bleach was forced to end due to low ratings. Can you speak to whether that is true or false? If Bleach is ending so soon, does this mean that the anime will be revived for the final arc? There are so many theories flying around. It would be nice to have some official news about what's happening.
The service rep from Viz was very courteous and answered my inquiry with this:
Thanks for writing in again! At this time, we do not have any news regarding Bleach ending soon, or if there will be a new season for the anime. If any official news appears, our social media pages and blog will be the best place to find this information:

I would encourage others who subscribe to the digital magazine to ask questions/make suggestions. Viz is really great about answering what they can and their customer service is good. The person I corresponded with indicated that subscriber responses are important to them. I suspect that they aren't able to respond to the questions I asked either because they don't want to spoil whatever is coming or they may have been warned by WSJ Japan to keep their mouths shut. Still, making lots of inquiries sends the message about what Bleach fans would like to see as the series ends. Hope this is helpful.
