I noticed that unlike many other shonen, in Black Clover all the strongest characters are quite young, in short, around 20-30 years.
So far the only older knight seems to be the new captain of the Violet Orca.
As Sister Theresa says it is likely that this is due to the fact that the Mana weakens over time, but if you see you will never see a character over 50 strong? Explaining the elves of course.
