Why do they want to become viole's friends? He is not an established irregular. If trauma didn't want to use him, he would have killed him. One must know trauma enjoys using people or creatures. This isn't about care or not care about vermins, this is about their own existence, their family existence, they aren't children who want to contest that didn't give anything good for them, what do you think if okey they help zahard to put ends gustang's ambition but they want to zahard given up his kingdom and give the kingdom to them? even you can see there in the convo between zahard and traum, traum wants something to help zahard, even make zahard who wants kill baam back down because traum wants baam.

And gustang isn't stupid carelessly declare the war to zahard kingdom if his war make him lose.

This is between gustang and zahard who now got help figthting gustang by traum, the other family got no bussiness for this war, if not benefit for them.
