I don't think not changing the opening would be so much of an issue if Departure were a little bit catchier ("You Can Smile Again" is catchy though :P) like Dragon Ball's, Yu Yu Hakusho's and Toriko's openings. At least the animation has totally changed, that's cool, and it's something that imo should be done in every arc. I'd also think it would be cool to have significantly different versions of Departure for each arc, be it remixes or versions performed by other artists. Now that would be awesome!

Not too shabby. Wouldn't mind this version being used for the Chimera Ant arc(sung by Galneryus of course). If only...

Well as it was said earlier if they are changing the ED, and the ending is just suberb! It means that they dont really want to change the departure opening xP
I wonder if they are really trying to make it like Smile Bomb ^^

That is an amazing fandub to an amazing song. I've never really felt like it was a great match for HxH's tone, personally, but I have to give it credit for being a moving piece of music. It has a very nostalgic sound to it, and this is coming from someone who heard it for the first time in 2011.
