The MH specific game rules will be explained below. If you would like to play, please announce your participation in the "Mafia Game Discussion" Thread. This thread is strictly for playing the game. Thank you.
Immortality. For some, it is the ultimate prize. For others, likely the ones who have actually obtained it, it is a curse. The Observer - in an effort to fight the vile, detestable beings who "knock on the doors of paradise" - has gathered a handful of promising human candidates in a remote town. The reward for the winner will be eternal life - probably metaphorically, since he's also a bit of an arse.
Unbeknown to the townspeople, the destructive "Knockers" have also taken residency in the town, awaiting their chance to strike. Apparently, the gathering of a good number of potential victims has led them to decide their chance is now...
The Observer awaits his chosen to come out of the struggle victorious, even if a few candidates will have to abandon their mortal coils along the way. However, just when he was about to make tea and witness a good old slaughterin', romance has descended on the sleepy town to ensure further chaos and that the Observer can get a proper headache.
Special Mechanic: Partners
Benevolent Pioran, wanting no person to be alone for Valentine's season, has gifted each person with a partner in hopes that they might win together, because who wants to be immortally alone?, she thought.
To help them achieve this, the couples are each given a night pad to communicate outside of the day phases. Treat the pad like a host PM; you cannot copy and paste anything from your pad into the main game thread, reveal host messages, and so on. All the rules that apply on here will apply on there as well.
Beware, however - because not all relationships are pure. You are told from the start the role of your partner, but some of these are fake identities the scum has acquired to infiltrate the town.
So despite some level of distrust since the couples can be townie x townie, townie x scum, or scum x scum, you really should play together (and nice). In a healthy relationship, communicating and working together is key, after all.
In fact, playing together (and nice) is the best way to obtain precious Relationship Points (RPs), which allow you to unlock a reward for cooperation once you have enough of them. Working with your partner can be done in a number of ways:
Conversely, working against your partner will have the opposite effect:
Rewards for cooperation:
Once you reach a minimum of 10 Relationship Points, you will unlock the corresponding reward depending on your role and affiliation:
Once a reward is unlocked, you can activate it whenever you wish.
All the points gained in a phase are awarded at the end of it, which is also when you'll unlock your reward once you have enough points.
Your partner won't know how many points you have accumulated, nor if you have unlocked or used any reward ability. But I'm sure they'll tell you, if you ask nicely.
Playing on your own:
If you start a day phase with 5 Relationship Points or your partner is killed by someone other than you (or someone from your Mafia/TP team), you will be able to choose a "solo" ability, regardless of your town/mafia/TP affiliation:
However, using either your reward for cooperation or your "playing solo" ability will lock you out of obtaining or using the other one. So think carefully on how you plan to play.
Extra rule:
If you participate in the lynch of your partner by voting for them, you get a bonus if they are revealed to be mafia or third party, and a penalty if they are town:
If you or your scum team directly kill your partner, you will lose all possible rewards. But in case you had already unlocked or used your corresponding rewards, feel free to lynch or kill your buddy without a care. And bask in the sensation of what a horrible person you are for using them up and casting them aside...
tl;dr version
Everyone has a partner.
You can communicate with your partner at night.
You won't die if they die.
Work with them for enough time and you'll unlock a perk, work against them or see them get killed by someone else and you'll unlock another.
Lynching your partner is good if you're positive they're scum liars, not so much if they were legit.
Killing your partner makes you lose any perks, but you can't lose them if you've already used them
Note: If you decide to use an action, you need to declare it in your individual PM, not your couple one. That way your partner won't have to see what you choose to do.
That's it. Have fun! '3'/
Day 1 Begins
Lasts 24 hours, until Feb 16, 23:30 CET
(Will add a timer if I can find one that works as it should...)
Good Luck, for during this game you will know the price of eternity.
So I'm a loli this time. Can anybody who reads this series tell me if I'm cooler than I look. Any special powers besides not taking candy from strangers.
So thanks @Valhalla777 and @Crescent Jinx for these avy especially considering how the series doesn't have all the characters colored.
I can see it was complicated to do them
Im so so happy I got best boy Gugu! He's one of my favourite characters!!
Thanks @Valhalla777 and @Crescent Jinx for the avis, as Asako said it must have been hell to get proper images.
And the special mechanic looks complicated but easy to understand more or less. Basically we all have lovers and if we make things for the other we get rewards. Then theres surely at least 3 or 4 wolfs in sheep clothes and at least one mafia x mafia ship so lets be wary of them.
The funny thing is that I wont get to pass my coded role to anybody since Im forced to share it with someone I didn't even get to test... oh well at least its obvious Gry and Pom are together, I would never forgive Cres if she let this chance slide.

Hey i also just thank u all, for letting me playing with u, thanks for the invite and host @Crescent Jinx , thanks for the whole work on everybody around it, thanks for the host @Vandred <3 Lets have some fun
Alright, i'm read through this game mechanics very quickly, might have to reread it tomorrow, though i'll be short on time. But that seems pretty interesting.
Though that adds a stressful factor for me, since the partner can betray if he feels like it.
I wonder if there are two lovers in the game in addition to that mechanic lol that would be insane, though i doubt it's the case. That would be too much.
I'm here...I spot hosts lurking (great stuff and nice touch with the game. Apparently assembling avis were tasking so its warm to see both are here). As mentioned the mechanic seems easy enough to understand, but I feel it might be more detrimental to town at first? You're not guaranteed that your partner is genuine, and the fact you're paired sort of puts this in your face every time. In addition, confirmed townies revealing partners wouldn't help either since we're not even sure who's genuine (this in theory balances things better but makes life difficult anyway). I feel the mafia have more of an edge with this. It's like a one shot mafia detective role + mason. I say so because I figure two mafia won't get paired together (least not from the same team). So they potentially have access to town role and a town to discuss. Giving mafia will communicate themselves, there's so much room for manipulation I think. Does have its perks for town as some pairings are definitely genuine but settling these doubts will more or less take forever. I think it's better to clear this out first, so no one becomes an easy puppet.
