I haven't heard of topaz at all. But then again, it could be because I'm only experienced in tank cleaning >_>

What exactly is it supposed to do? Denoise or what?

Have you ever downloaded some LQ/MQ scans...then you'll see some wave like formations on greys and so on....and they look very similiar to the ones produced by vivacity.
