Yakuto's root is Black Dragon, but transforming into a dragon isn't part of that root's powerset. What allows him to transform into a dragon (and absorb other dragons) is a curse that he got from somewhere else

Cool chapter. I liked seeing Natsu flex his combat intelligence I wasn't a fan of him losing against these guys, but he didn't seem serious and he was caught off guard, so it not too bad I guess. I'm wondering how Mashima's gonna handle Erza's fight, 'cause it seems like he's there to kill...
