I'm good with the current pace so far, with the look at Mitaka's psyche and her half/half dynamic with WD.

Given the grit of the first arc I’m really not feeling this one. It’s like Denji turned back into a chump.

now that I think about it, I think the author is in an unplanned second story within the world. Revealing that chainsaw man is specks because he doesn’t only kill devils, he also kills their concept and humanity’s collective memory of their concept, was a massive world altering reveal, worthy of a final act.

the war devil being basically an insignificant chump doesn’t really work as a new antagonist. Considering all that Denji has survived thus far, and all the experience with women he’s had, being a chump high schooler whose weakness is he wants a girlfriend…doesn’t fit. It fits his personality but not his experiences. This storyline would easily fit a “Denji just started working for Makima” arc to replace the bomb devil storyline.

I was wondering why there wasn't retaliation by Japan on the US after the GUn Devil incidence, the war devil reveal kinda answers that.

The Denji-Yoshida and Denji-Asa dynamics are great so far, and love the paneling. Fujimoto has really got that down since Goodbye Eri.
